William W. Scott and his team of professionals has been providing accurate and respected testimony in regional courts since 1979.  California Market Values, Inc. was originally organized, and is currently specialized, to provide the legal community with a source of accredited forensic appraisers able to testify as expert witnesses in court.  William W Scott and his professional appraisers are well known in the legal community and is the preferred forensic appraisal company for the Riverside and San Bernardino county court systems.  California Market Values appraisers have provided expert witness testimony in court in San Diego County, Orange County, Los Angeles Federal Court and the Riverside Bankruptcy court.  In addition William W. Scott is a Probate Referee of Riverside County and has provided expert testimony in his capacity as an officer of the court. It is often the situtation that both parties to a lawsuit will request that California Market Values value a property in question and both parties will stipulate that the results be considered evidence in the case.  This is the highest honor that can be paid to an appraisal firm.

California Market Value's system of appraising is designed to arrive at value empirically: appraisal orders are taken by the clerical staff and assigned to appraisers at random, appraisers have no contact with the clients prior to the inspection date (if any), there is NO negotation process (formal of otherwise) whereby the client communicates to the appraiser his or her opinions or needs about value, and research of data in the public domain is conducted prior to inspection and without skewing the results of the research to certain value ranges.

All of our services are forensic, in that, upon request, we provide highly respected testimony in court in addition to the appraisal concerning our measurements of value.
